It’s pretty hard not to like Anne Hathaway, even if you didn’t enjoy the likes of The Devil Wears Prada or The Princess Diaries, one look at the infectious smile is all it takes, that and her brutal honesty and we have to be honest ourselves, we think that she looked bloomin’ gorgeous as the cover star of the October Issue of Glamour Magazine.
In a juicy interview where she spoke of the struggles for older women to land huge roles in films Anne herself, admitted that she couldn’t complain, as she inadvertently poached parts herself when she was in her twenties:
“When I was in my early twenties, parts would be written for women in their fifties and I would get them. And now I’m in my early thirties and I’m like, ‘Why did that 24 year old get that part?’
“I was that 24 year old once, I can’t be upset about it, it’s the way things are. All I can do right now is think that thankfully you have built perhaps a little bit of a cachet and can tell stories that interest you and if people go to see them you’ll be allowed to make more.”
We heart you and your honesty Anne!
We can’t help but think exactly that when we think of Anne Hathaway.
The chic style of her hair piled up on her head teamed with just bitten makeup and neutral toned attire, Anne looks feminine and goddess-like, plus the revealing side of the outfit adds femininity, Anne Hathaway is still young and she doesn’t want you to forget it!
For the brows it’s about shape and definition, the red tones in the brows match her hair which F.Y.I is a perfect colour for fall. We love Benefit Brow Zings ($32.00, Ulta) for brows that are on fleek. For the eyes it’s quite minimalistic but a sweep of liquid eyeliner adds interest and helps to enhance the shape of her eyes. We recommend Prestige Cosmetics Liquid Eyeliner ($5.99, Ulta) to get that perfect cat eyed flick.
Her complexion looks absolutely perfect and you can take it one step further by using a highlighter such as the Topshop Glow in Polish ($16.00, Topshop.com) to create a soft focus highlight to the high points of your face, no bronzer is needed, strobing is in and we’re loving it.
Just bitten lips such as those at New York Fashion Week as seen by Rag and Bone look effortlessly glamorous on Anne, for a wider mouth this is great for adding fullness to the lips without creating a clown-looking pout. The Revlon Just Kissable Balm Stain, Honey ($9.49, Ulta) provides everything you need in one moisturizing lip crayon, what more could we ask for?
That’s it for this look, it’s beautifully simple and effortlessly chic, will you be trying this look? What do you think Glossygirls?FROM THE WEB:
