Attending her NYFW Rihanna Roc Nation Block Party held at The New York Edition Hotel, Rihanna is, of course, making a major statement. The 27-year-old singer hosted a private dinner, before heading out to join Travis Scott and cheer him while he sang four songs from his new album, Rodeo (and even showed some pretty heavy PDA with the rapper).

As usual, RiRi took the fashion don’ts and turned them into do’s. I mean err… blue lips and boot-cut pants underneath a maxi dress?

Shop the Look!

That would be a big no-no on many celebs’ fashion book, but our girl here plays by her own rules and we love the free spirit that goes by the name of Rihanna.

To be fair, with that doll-like face and enviable figure of hers, she could show up at fashion shows in PJs and still look cute; that’s a fact.

Sporting lots of silver jewelry including a gorgeous crystal choker and bangles, the star is definitely feeling herself in white and is rocking some black furry sandals, showing us that the she can be bold from head to toe.

In terms of makeup, she kept it relatively simple, opting for a flawless base and winged liner not to overpower the blue that is going on. Cheekbones carved in, bronzed temples and defined jawline: Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder ($38, Saksfifthavenue.com) will be a helping hand in transforming you into a bronzed goddess like @badgalriri. For the eyes, why not go for a cheap and safe alternative with the Wet n Wild MegaLiner Liquid Eyeliner, Black 861 ($2.99, Walgreens.com) and carefully draw a flick; take your time to perfect this step. The finishing touch is the lipstick: Sally Girl Mini Mood Lipstick, Magic Blue ($0.99, Sallybeauty.com), which is surely not for everyone. If you really think it’s too out there, you can switch to a deep red and still be bold: the Nars Semi-Matte Lipstick, Jungle Red ($27, Net-A-Porter.com) will substitute the weird-looking color, but still make a statement.

What do you think about Rihanna’s look? Would you try blue lipstick or is it only wearable at Halloween?
